Intro to Mode

Mode is the Layer 2 (L2) solution driving the AIFi (AI-powered DeFi) economy. Our mission is to accelerate the development and coordination of AI-powered financial infrastructure, using blockchain as the foundation for this transformation. With a focus on AIFi, we want to reshape decentralized finance to empower users globally. As a key participant in the Optimism Superchain, Mode is committed to upholding and promoting the core values of the ecosystem. We actively contribute to its growth and evolution, ensuring that users enjoy a secure and thriving ecosystem.

Governance Team

The Mode governance delegation consists of Cryptofede and Deez, both of whom bring extensive expertise in the web3 and DeFi sectors.

• Fede is the Head of Developer Relations (DevRel) at Mode, with a software engineering background. He is an active member of the global Ethereum community since 2017, with a particular focus on LATAM (Latin America).

• Deez, as Head of Growth at Mode, has in-depth experience in decentralized finance, particularly in tokenomics. His expertise includes understanding incentives and reward mechanisms, providing valuable insights into governance structures and the sustainability of DeFi protocols.

Both members have played integral roles in shaping Mode’s governance strategy and are enthusiastic about participating in Optimism governance. They will ensure that Mode’s values and interests are well-represented, while keeping the broader Mode team informed of governance developments. Cryptofede and Deez are jointly responsible for executing any governance actions on behalf of Mode.

Why We Chose to Be Delegates

As participants in Optimism’s Superchain, we feel a strong responsibility to actively engage in governance, not only for Mode but for the entire Superchain. By participating, we aim to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Superchain while fostering its growth and adoption. We strongly support Optimism’s vision and are eager to contribute fresh perspectives to governance discussions. We believe that active participation from each chain in the Superchain is critical to ensuring alignment and coordination, particularly when executing network upgrades and collaborative campaigns.
