ShapeShift DAO contributed to Optimism in two primary ways: 1. Integration of OP Mainnet across ShapeShift's open-source stack in February 2023. 2. Implementation of an OP Growth Grant (Cycle 11) for a novel incentive program executed in partnership with Gitcoin Passport and Thrivecoin. A no-sale rule was implemented by the Growth Council starting in Cycle 10, and ShapeShift DAO therefore shouldered all building costs associated with this program to support the End User Experience & Adoption of Optimism.

The no-sale Growth Grant onboarded over 27,000 unique users to OP Mainnet with 23,542 bridging txns, 22,311 swap txns, and over 1,648 fiat onramp txns. (Data source: Thrivecoin) OP-themed NFT campaign with over 2,000 unique mints. (Data source: OpenSea, Mercle) Incentive program and sybil-resistance knowledge sharing via OP forum; over 5,700 sybils removed and 45k OP saved. (Data source: Gitcoin Passport) Our interface has facilitated over $2.3m in bridging volume, $1.5m in trading volume, and continues to provide aggregated fiat on-ramp support to OP Mainnet for users in different jurisdictions worldwide.
