In the past 4 years, DeFi Africa has propelled Web3 growth across the ecosystem through several means including education, community, events and partnerships. We recently organized the Web3 Developer Workshop 1 in Tamale, Ghana (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/web3-developer-workshop-1-tickets-729980048977), where we engaged with over 30 developers, equipping them with skills to learn smart contracts and deployment on the Optimism test network. This initiative tackled a critical challenge for developers entering Web3 - the need for hands-on experience. We empowered participants to bridge theory and practice, fostering a deeper understanding. During the workshop, participants learned, engaged, and collaborated with peers to explore the latest tools and best practices for Web3 development.
