The ECH emerged in response to specific challenges within the Ethereum community. While we have primarily been involved in the Ethereum ecosystem, we've contributed building developers' ecosystem for Optimism
The "PEEPanEIP" series by Ethereum Cat Herders is designed to offer deeper insights into the Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) and the processes surrounding them. For newcomers to the Ethereum community or those looking to deepen their understanding, the PEEPanEIP series serves as an educational resource.
ECH helped bring transparency to EIP processes by organizing EIPIP meetings and documenting discussions, decisions, and rationale.
ECH facilitated a smoother consensus-building process, organizing discussions, and gathering feedback to help reach a broader agreement.
While ECH have primarily been involved in coordination and communication activities surrounding the Ethereum mainnet we've played an essential role in enhancing the transparency and understanding of Ethereum's development here's how we have indirectly supported Optimism:
Many EIPs have indirect implications for Optimism and Layer2 solutions. By facilitating discussions around these EIPs, the Ethereum Cat Herders have helped refine and implement features that are beneficial.
While not exclusively focused on Optimism, the educational content produced helps in disseminating knowledge about the changes that may affect Optimism.
A better-informed community can contribute more effectively to the evolution and integration of Optimism.
