Delegate Statement

I want to push and co-develop the mental frameworks that will drive us to realize the impact = profit axiom, our shared Optimistic Vision.

Name: LauNaMu Address or ENS: launamu.eth Discord username: LauNaMu Verification (Tally profile or tweet): I have read and understood the Delegate Commitment Process: Yes, I have read and understood the Delegate Commitment Process. I understand that becoming a delegate is a significant commitment: Yes, I understand that becoming a delegate is a significant commitment.

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I want to push and co-develop the mental frameworks that will drive us to realize the impact = profit axiom, our shared Optimistic Vision. I’ve always wanted to change the world for the better, and the Optimistic Vision provides me with a platform, ideology, and framework that I resonate with, however, a vision needs actions to be realized and I want to ensure the actions being pursued are comprehensible. I want to provide a new point of view from someone experienced working in the adoption of digital products in emerging markets. I want to ensure that the ecosystem we’re building, and the strategies pursued to this end are mindful of what is needed to onboard diverse profiles not only in terms of skills but in terms of lived experiences and needs. Following on the point above, I want to contribute to the growth and sustainability of RetroPGF through the enforcement of short-term strategies that serve this long-term goal. To fulfill this, I want to push for an increase in accountability in the use of funds by grantees and promote knowledge-sharing and synergies among Optimism's past and future grantees.

Last, I really like the experimental design of the Collective and am super excited to be part of this experimentation process and generate new findings we can build on top of.

My view on the Optimistic Vision 333: I am deeply aligned with the Impact = Profit axiom and invested in how to realize it in a sustainable and efficient way.

My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution: I find it very valuable to highlight and encourage the following three points to ensure a conscious, sustainable, and intentional evolution of the project.

  1. Keep in everyone's mind that this is an evolving document. Not set in stone, and encourages healthy criticism and continuous evaluation on whether the existing document is still serving the Collective as the Collective itself grows and diversifies.

  2. Establishing a fixed timeline for when the Constitution will be phased out avoids stagnation of the project, linked to the point above, but most of all creates a sense of urgency around participants to ensure that the processes being tested and suggested build up for the Collective to be in the right place for this transition.

  3. Projects and communities dashing to decentralize without well-thought-out and tested methods and processes has become a large pitfall and the downfall of several projects. Having a handheld transition from the Foundation to both Houses is key to the success of this experiment and an addition I find to be unique in the Optimism Ecosystem that nurtures the project's durability and sustainability.

My Web3 interests:

Governance, Social Impact, Privacy, Identity

Languages I speak and write: ES, EN, DE, FR

My skills and areas of expertise:

  • Impact Evaluation - Design and adoption of frameworks that enable organizations, projects, and institutions to generate data driven decisions.
  • Strategy and Operations in Digital (financial) adoption. I have a background in scoping, launching and scaling FinTech startups in Emerging Markets.
  • User-centered design and experience.
  • I am incredibly resourceful and a quick learner.

My favorite Web3 projects: Pool Together: Such a simple concept and experience that people new to the ecosystem can get behind. EAS: Identity building blocks. Farcaster: My new go-to source for web3 information, new products, and connections.

Rolling Mission Requests: Voting Cycle 28

Increase Prevalence of Non-USD/EURO Stablecoins
Reason: Given that it is only a small amount of funds (15k) I'm voting yes to experiment what this could look like, but like Lefteris mentioned I don't think this should be a priority.

Rolling Mission Requests

Reason: These funds have already been approved for distribution by the Token House, and enabling this will reduce the number of votes needed to conduct already approved usage of funds.

Mission Requests: Intent #3B, 12M OP

Request 1: Support the Superchain
Reason: I believe this program will greatly benefit the growth of the Superchain and increase the incentives for 1) more chains to be developed and 2) see a growth in the diversity of types of projects and builders participating in the Collective and contributing to the OP Stack.

Grants Council Reviewer Elections: Audit Reviewer

Voted: m4rio.eth, AnthiasLabs
Reason: Among the candidates responses these two candidates were the most aligned with skills required for the roles. I would highly recommend though asking different questions to applicants based on the role they will be taking up in the Collective so as to provide more useful information for decision making.

Upgrade Proposal #9: Fjord Network Upgrade

Reason: To drive adoption and usage of blockspace in the Superchain we need to improve how accessible interacting with apps is, smart wallets enable this process and it is therefore necessary to reduce the cost of gas for them.

Season 6: V2. Code of Conduct Council Renewal

Reason: In accordance to my previous comments, voting in favor of the renewal of the Council and looking forward to improved reporting that substantiates and enables the visibility needed of the work they do. This is particularly necessary if a large amount of their rewards should be paid in RetroRewards (which I'm not in favor of due to the type of work being completed).
