We are voting in favor of ratifying the Standard Rollup Charter, we will be sharing extended rationale and our thoughts soon on in the delegate thready.
This charter clarifies which chains are subject to join Superchain—the Collective's core product. The writers also revised the proposal over many months, giving the community enough time to ratify it. We're voting for this proposal.
Standardizing what chains joining the superchain should adhere to makes sense.
We don’t think this charter is as clear on some points as it should be, such as revenue sharing details, but we also acknowledge that it is an aspirational document, and has no legal, social, or other binding obligations on governance. Just like the Law of Chains more broadly, these are more guidelines to begin and maintain conversations with potential partners, and to our reading, in no way constrains the degrees of freedom of Optimism governance.
very exciting
aligned on having standardization and upholding standards for OP chains
At SEEDGov, we vote for the ratification of this framework. As a note, our questions posted in the forum were answered during the last Token House call.
