Contribution

EAS has been natively integrated into the OP Stack codebase and linked by two predeploy addresses for registering schemas and making attestations onchain or offchain. All future OP Stack chains automatically inherit the contracts at Genesis. These contracts unlock new opportunities for builders passionate about identity, reputation, governance, voting, social & beyond. Did you know? - EAS powers the AttestationStation V1 - RetroPGF profiles & badgeholders are attested to using EAS - Gitcoin Passport uses EAS to attest to stamps & scores on OP - Base uses the predeploy contracts + more use cases We've also contributed: - An OP Attestation Explorer - An SDK + API to get devs building faster - No-code tools for making schemas & attestations - Educational content & docs for attestations

Impact

EAS has been natively integrated into the core OP Stack infrastructure as two predeploy addresses and has positioned OP as the ecosystem leader for attestations. EAS has enabled: - RetroPGF profiles to be attested to - OP Badgeholders to be attested to - Gitcoin Passports to push their offchain stamps & scores onchain to Optimism. - Guild to query OP attestations using the EAS GraphQL API and gate communities/chats. - Base to provide attestations to their builders by using the predeploy contracts - Attestations to be verified on the OP explorer - Builders to build faster with our comprehensive docs + more Attestations are inspiring builders to explore new use cases around identity, reputation systems, governance, registries, voting, social networks, and more throughout the Superchain.
