My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I've learned all about Optimism's history, developments, Superchain strategy, OP token and its use, and the ins and outs of Optimism's governance. I really enjoyed my time researching and was energized to become an Optimist. While my OP tokenholdings won't materially impact any voting cycles, I'm glad to participate and contribute my opinions.
My view on the Optimistic Vision: I love the Optimistic Vision and the mission to fundamentally shift retroactive public goods funding into something sustainable! The Governance Fund, RetroPGF, and airdrop incentives can absolutely power a flywheel that leads to contributions, development, and participation in the ecosystem.
My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution:
I agree that at its outset, the Optimism Collective should have an interactive and experimental governance system and constitution. Governance at this scale is hard. Let's take the time to figure out what works, and what doesn't. However, the hope is that one day this constitution can be more set in stone.
Optimism's bicameral system provides for checks and balances. A major part of governance is to decentrally distribute retroactive public goods. This should not be put in the hands of the biggest OP tokenholders. It should also not be put into the hands of a small number of Optimists. This system allows for both options to equally contribute to Optimism's direction and incentive decisions. It will be interesting to see if the experiments of Season 4 can better align the goals of both Houses.
The Optimism Foundation's role in these early stages of the ecosystem is critically important to lend a guiding hand and ensure the health of the ecosystem in its infancy. The Foundation currently has a lot of control over OP incentives by having the ability to decide on the scope of RetroPGF rounds and distributing them, deciding who becomes a Citizen, and controlling a large portion of the Ecosystem Fund. Because of all this, I do feel that over time, this control needs to largely shift into the hands of both Houses.

Languages I speak and write: English, Spanish, and Polish
My skills and areas of expertise: I research and write about cryptocurrencies/protocols day-to-day in my role at Messari. I love learning about Layer-1s, Layer 2s, governance, tokenomics, DePIN, and cryptocurrency use cases in general. I am engaging in Optimism's governance in a personal capacity and do not represent Messari in any way.
