Delegate Statement

I have observed the failures of decentralized governance up to this point and would like to prevent the massive amount of fraud that I fear is going to take place if such entities gain significant control over this protocol. I do believe that public goods funding is the only long run sustainable model, but given my experience in the space I think it is HIGHLY likely that this is a means through which connected parties will heap cash on their buddies, while allowing those who are not well-connected to whither on the vine. Nothing would give me greater satisfaction that exposing this sort of behavior publicly so that righteous Eth values can prosper. I want to summon the proverbial phoenix as much as anyone, however, I have seen many cases in the past where appeals to idealism are simply used to mask outright theft from end users.

My view on the Optimistic Vision : Fundamentally I think this is the right idea, however, it is absolutely begging to be abused by unscrupulous grifters, as we have seen in so-called decentralized governance up to this point. If delegates fall victim to group-think or are concerned about harmony rather than moral principles, I think this experiment will be a colossal failure. Delegates must be willing to risk being very unpopular in order to do what is right, and without such delegates this is going to be a massive handout to anyone unscrupulous enough to exploit it and a constituency apathetic enough to allow it to happen.

My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution: Decentralized governance has yet to be solved, so I think a commitment to experimentation is warranted. Having a bicameral legislature is a very good start, but in my opinion not good enough. I am concerned that the foundation has far too wide a berth. I really, really don’t want to see another DeFi Education Fund.

My skills and areas of expertise: Adept at spotting scams and not scared at all to rock the boat. I absolutely abhor self-interested parties pretending to act out altruism. I have been a DeFi power user since Nuo Network came out and have become very adept at confronting thieves who use decentralized governance as a means of self enrichment. I estimate my IQ to be in excess of 100 and the number of fucks I give about popularity contests to be 0.
