Delegate Statement

Born and raised in Argentina, I’ve seen first-hand all the pain and struggles shitty economic systems can bring to people. When I was 7 our currency collapsed. When I was 13 I run into a philosophy book and after reading it I told my mom I would design a new system to fix capitalism issues. At 23 I wrote my master's thesis in Political Economy on social businesses and their impact in equality of opportunities. At 24 I learned about Ethereum and at 27 I discovered the Optimistic Vision.

Now I'm 29, I realized I'm not smart enough to build an entirely new system by myself, but I'm very happy people way smarter than I are working on it.

The Optimistic Vision

I believe the axiom impact = profit is an incredible solution to many of the challenges we face. If we can successfully shift financial incentives towards creating value instead of extracting value, we'd have done our part to build a better place. That's the main reason why I want to contribute to the Optimism Collective.

As per the first three articles of the Working Constitution:

  • I love the iterative nature of Optimism Governance.
  • I'm very excited with the idea of "going beyond token voting".
  • I agree that the foundation must take a leadership role in this current state of Governance.

I'm convinced Governance should be as simple as possible, but I understand that reaching a point where we can have very simple and effective rules will imply a lot of experimentation and complexity.

My journey

I spent the last 3 years working on making free crypto education available to everyone in Latin America through Solow, a free academy for builders entirely in Spanish. We've worked with many leading protocols, including a Mission Proposal for the Optimism Collective on season 4. We were also recipients of RetroPGF 3.

My areas of expertise

I consider myself a jack of all fools and master of none. Which is just a fancy way of saying I’m not an expert in any given subject, but I do have plenty of experience in political economy, education, community building, and growth.

Languages I speak: Spanish, English, Italian and (limited) French.

My favourite Web3 projects: MakerDAO, ETH Global and Gitcoin.
