My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:
Being part of Optimism governance is a special opportunity that Galxe is incredibly thrilled about. Galxe looks to align with Optimism strategically even further by being a delegate as we are excited to push the boundaries of what can be accomplished together. As co-creators and hosts of the Optimism Quest during the Fall of 2022, we saw how powerful this partnership is from the spectacular response of the community. We at Galxe look forward to helping Optimism become one the most dominant L2 in the space.
My view on the Optimistic Vision 300:
The vision described here is compelling and promising, and we find ourselves inspired by its ideas and its optimism. Shifting away from old paradigms to embrace a new, fairer model that's more suited to our digital age is something we definitely align with. It also demystifies the notion that public goods cannot be profitable, and having incentives for creating public goods can create an environment where value is recognized and rewarded, which fosters sustainable growth.
My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution:
We agree with the idea of a Working Constitution, as this flexible approach allows the Collective to change and improve over time.
We're interested to see how this will work in the short-term and long-term. The bicameral governance system concept pushes back against the tendency of power concentration, and could have a meaningful impact on the Collective's course.
We agree with this approach, especially since the Foundation's stated aim is to decentralize its role over time, meaning the plan is to distribute their power and responsibilities to other members or entities within the Collective as it matures.
